ZUFFA Announces Second Quarterly Twitter Bonuses For 2012, Winners Receive $5,000 Each
Today the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced the latest quarterly winners of the Twitter bonuses. The UFC/ZUFFA introduced the Twitter Bonus program during their Fighter Summit in May 2011 as an attempt to have fighters open up their lives and communicate with fans. The fighters were placed in categories based on number of followers they had at beginning of the quarter, number of followers gained within that timespan and the most creative “tweeters”.
The awards were divided into a number of categories with the winners receiving $5,000 dollars.
UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson and “The Ultimate Fighter” season 8 cast member Joe Duarte led the way winning awards in two categories for a total of $10,000 each. Other notable winners include Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Kenny Florian and Ronda Rousey.
Announcing more Twitter bonus winners! Fighters put into 4 categories at beginning of Q based on # of followers, 3 prizes per category.
