Following “UFC on FX 3: Johnson vs. McCall” from Sunrise, Florida, UFC president Dana White shared his thoughts on the card and a handful of other recent hot topics with FUEL TV correspondent Ariel Helwani. Among the issues discussed were White’s recent meeting with Brock Lesnar, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua alledgedly turning down a fight with Glover Teixiera and of course, the head honcha’s thoughts on the event.

Read highlights of what White had to say, or watch the video below.

On The Flyweight Division
“I knew they would (deliver), I mean anyone who has ever watched them (the lighter weight classes) throughout the years in the WEC knew they would deliver. I mean, the smaller weight classes, these guys…these guys fight man.”

On The Recent Injuries To UFC Fighters
“I’m numb to it now, man. Last year when this stuff started happening it was devastating, you know now I’ve chalked it up to this is part of the business, it’s part of the deal. I don’t know if these guys…you know, I think what is happening too, and me and Joe Silva were talking about this tonight, you have so many talented guys out there now all in the same camp, you know going at it like, you know they’re fighting for the title. These guys need to tone it down in training a bit and stop hurting each other.”

On Mauricio “Shogun” Rua Turning Down A Fight With Glover Teixeira
“He (Shoogun) said that he’d actually rather be cut than have to fight him (Teixeira), dude, nobody wants to fight this guy, nobody wants to fight this guy. We’re trying to match the guy up with somebody, but he didn’t mind fighting Brandon Vera, so he’s fighting Brandon Vera. I don’t want to sound like I’m disrespecting Shogun, because I’m not, I’m just telling the truth. It’s verbatim what his people said when we talked to them. You know me. I tell it like it is. If you don’t want that out in public, then don’t say it to me, don’t say it on the phone, because I’m going to say what was said. But Shogun’s a warrior. The guy’s fought everybody from PRIDE to the UFC. His last fight with Dan Henderson was awesome. I mean, yeah, it is what it is.”

On His Meeting With Brock Lesnar
“The meeting we had didn’t go very well. It wasn’t a great meeting. It was probably one of the worst meetings we’ve ever had with Brock Lesnar, and I honestly have not talked to him since, so, I dunno where we’ve at. So all this stuff you’re seeing on the internet is typical internet (expletive). And, I don’t know. It was really bad, it was the worst meeting I’ve ever had with Brock Lesnar. It was me and Lorenzo (Fertitta), in my opinion it couldn’t have gone worse.”
