VIDEO: Chael Sonnen Makes His UFC on FOX 3 Predictions

UFC middleweight Chael Sonnen has never been one to hide his feelings about, well, anything really. The outspoken fighter has plenty to say whether he is disrespecting Anderson Silva in an interview or giving a detailed analysis of a fight on “UFC Tonight”. Sonnen has actually proven to be quite knowledgable when it comes to breaking down fights and fighters. Ahead of UFC on FOX 3 this weekend, Sonnen sat down to share his opinion on the main event and co-main event bouts for this Saturday’s event.

Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller
“Let’s see. Jim Miller’s been on such a roll lately and normally I would have just taken him, but after Diaz’s last fight with Cerrone, it’s so hard to picture him losing. You couldn’t picture two more drastic body types, you know, from the longest guy in the division in Diaz versus possible the shortest, most powerful and compact guy in the division. It’s a really hard fight and I think it’s going to come down to the takedowns of Jim Miller and if he can drag him (Diaz) to the mat over and over again. I think that’ll work good for him but that’s a pretty hard thing to do. This is a case where both guys are going to get hit a lot, both guys are going to beat up the other guy a lot and sooner or later the night is going to end and the judges are going to have to figure it out.”

Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks
“Two words: about time. This is such a great fight, they were both national champion wrestlers, they were in the same weight class, but different eras. They’ve both been cleaning house they have a common opponent in Mike Pierce who they both defeated allegedly – I thought Pierce beat both of them. Generally the younger guy is better, which is Johny Hendricks, and I’m speaking purely in wrestling terms. Fighting a lot of times tends to lean towards the older guy. So, you know, we’ll see. It’s going to be a very competitive match and if I had to pick I would go with Johny Hendricks.”

UFC on FOX 3: Diaz vs. Miller goes down this Saturday night from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The show can be seen live and free on FOX.

I completely disagree with Chael’s analysis. Miller is going to give Diaz a beat down and destroy him easily while Kos is going to send the overrated Johny Hendricks back to the prelims. Bank on it.
