UFC on FUEL TV 5 Preview: 25 Facts About Saturday’s Event

The event is headlined by an heavyweight bout of Stefan Struve vs. Stipe Miocic and can be seen on live on FUEL TV in the United States and Rogers Sportsnet in Canada starting at 4:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT.

1 – Stefan Struve is the tallest fighter in UFC history at 7’0″. The Dutch fighter is also tied with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones for the longest reach at 84.5 inches.

2 – UFC on FUEL TV 5 marks Stefan Struve’s 12th UFC bout. The only active heavyweights with more UFC fights are Frank Mir (20), Cheick Kongo (17) and Gabriel Gonzaga (13).

3 – Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic is the first non-title heavyweight UFC main event of 2012. The last was Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 on Dec. 2011.

4 – Amir Sadollah has fought all nine of his professional fights in the UFC.

5 – Paul Sass is undefeated at 13-0 with 12 submission victories, nine by triangle choke.

    Wow, that’s brutal about Ludwig. I hope Dana White sits him down and convinces him to retire if he suffers another knockout loss. Don’t like seeing fighters get to this point in their career.
