UFC on FOX 4 Preview: 10 Facts About Saturday’s Event

The event is headlined by an light heavyweight bout of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon Vera and can be seen on live and free on FOX in the United States and Rogers Sportsnet in Canada.

1 – Ryan Bader has the chance to become only the third man to defeat both Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida. The other two men to complete the feat are Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Jon Jones.

2 – The fighter with the most impressive win in the main or co-main event will be granted a light heavyweight title shot.

3 – Mike Swick competes for the first time since UFC 109 on Feb. 6, 2010

4 – Jamie Varner will fight for the second time in 84-days.

5 – Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader is the only bout on the four-fight UFC on FOX 4 main card that has not suffered any changes.

6 – Phil Davis goes from fighting in the UFC on FOX 2 main event to the preliminary portion of the UFC on FOX 4 fight card.

7 – Manny Gamburyan enters UFC on FOX 4 on a three-fight losing streak.

8 – Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has never won by decision in a five-round fight.

9 – Fourteen of the 22 fighters on the card are coming off of one or more losses.

10 – UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has defeated and finished all four light heavyweight fighters on the main card (Mauricio Rua, Brandon Vera, Lyoto Machida and Ryan Bader).
