UFC 152 Results: Post-Fight Facts Wrap

UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort took place last Saturday night in Toronto with Jon Jones submitting Vitor Belfort in the main event to defend the light heavyweight championship. Demetrious Johnson earned a split decision over Joseph Benavidez after five rounds of action in the co-main event of the evening.

1 – Jon Jones has most submission victories in UFC light heavyweight history with five.

2 – Cub Swanson has earned the ‘Knockout of the Night’ bonus in back-to-back fights.

3 – Charles Oliveira lost for the first time in his career as a featherweight.

4 – Demetrious Johnson became the first flyweight champion in UFC history.

5 – Brian Stann fought to a decision for the first time in six fights as a middleweight.

6 – Jon Jones has defeated five straight former UFC light heavyweight champions.

7 – The 12 fights on the card ended as follows: (T)KO: 3 (25%), Submission: 3 (25%), Decisions: 6 (50%)

8 – The total cage time at UFC 152 was 2 hours 10 minutes and 52 seconds.

9 – Demetrious Johnson will make his first flyweight title defence against the winner of John Dodson and Jussiar Da Silva, who fight at UFC on FX 5 on Oct. 5.

10 – Betting underdogs went 8-4 overall on the card, 6-1 on the preliminary bouts.

11 – Seth Baczynski, at 6’3″, is the tallest fighter in the UFC welterweight division.

12 – Jon Jones has won a post-fight bonus in five of his last eight bouts.

13 – Demetrious Johnson has fought a decision in six-straight bouts and eight of nine overall fights under the ZUFFA banner.

14 – Sean Pierson won a second consecutive UFC fight for the first time in his career.

15 – For the second fight in a row, Marcus Brimage was victorious in a fight where he was the betting underdog.

16 – Vinny Magalhaes has finished his opponent by knockout or submission in all 10 of his professional wins.

17 – In the last five UFC events with two title fights (UFC 100, UFC 112, UFC 129, UFC 136 & UFC 152), the co-main event has gone to a decision.

18 – Matt Hamill won a UFC fight for the first time since Oct. 23, 2010.

19 – After winning his UFC debut, Walel Watson has gone 0-3 in his last three bouts.

20 – Jon Jones became the first man to submit Vitor Belfort in the UFC.

21 – Charlie Brenneman has been knocked out or submitted in all four of his UFC losses.
