The Ultimate Fighter 16: Episode 4 “Can’t Fix Stupid” Quick Results

The fourth episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 16” aired tonight on FX and featured the third of eight round-of-16 elimination fights. This week’s bout saw Team Nelson’s Bristol Marunde take on Team Carwin’s Julian Lane.

Going into tonight’s episode, coaches Roy Nelson Shane Carwin are at a 1-1 deadlock in the competition after Team Nelson’s Joey Rivera defeated Team Carwin’s Sam Alvey by majority decision in the second round-of-16 elimination fight. Team Nelson took control of fight selection and looked to take the lead in the competition for the first time.

Welterweight Bout: Bristol Marunde (Team Nelson) def. Julian Lane (Team Carwin) via Unanimous Decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18)

With Marunde’s’s win, Team Nelson takes a lead in the competition at one win each while Team Carwin suffers their second consecutive loss. Team Nelson keeps control of fight selection and will attempt to win a third consecutive fight and continue momentum on next week’s episode.

New episodes of “The Ultimate Fighter 16″ air every Friday night at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT on FX Networks in the United States and Canada.
