Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy down Saturday night in Portland with Luke Rockhold and Nate Marquardt walking away with Strikeforce title belts.
There were plenty of notable facts to come out of the event, so be sure to check them out below:
1 – Luke Rockhold is the first fighter in Strikeforce history to defend the middleweight championship twice.
2 – Jason High was the only fighter on the card to finish his fight by submission. He was also the only fighter to win in the first round.
3 – All three fighters on the card competing in a new weight class won their fights. Lorenz Larkin (Middleweight), Roger Gracie (Middleweight) and Nate Marquardt (Welterweight).
4 – Robbie Lawler has not won two straight fights since 2007.
5 – Keith Jardine has not won a fight under the ZUFFA banner since defeating Brandon Vera via Split Decision at UFC 89 on Oct. 19, 2008.
6 – Roger Gracie has not won a fight by submission since Jan. 2011.
7 – Nate Marquardt’s last two knockout wins took place at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon.
8 – Seven of the nine fights on the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy fight card went to decision.
9 – Roger Gracie’s fight against Keith Jardine was the fight decision in his six-fight career.
