One of the common questions asked by fans and media to UFC president Dana White over the years has ben about women fighting in the UFC. White was once firmly against the idea but has taken a noticeable shining to Rousey and his stance has slowly softened. The UFC’s head honcho now says there are not enough good woman to create an entire division, but one-off fights featuring big-name woman such as Rousey are doable.

In an interview that aired on the most recent edition of UFC Tonight, FUEL TV correspondent Ariel Helwani asked Rousey what she thought the chances are of woman fighting in the UFC one day. The Strikeforce 135-pound woman’s champion had this to say.

“I think there’s a distinct possibility, ‘word of the day’ right there. And you know what? Woman are tough, woman are clever, you know, we’re going to find a way to get everywhere, so, you can’t stop us, we’ll be here (in the UFC) at some point.”

The former Olympic bronze medalist seems very confident that she, or women’s fighting in some form at the very least, will one day be granted the opportunity to grace what is considered the world’s biggest MMA platform: the UFC octagon.

Rousey is scheduled to make her first women’s bantamweight championship title defense at “Strikeforce: Tate vs. Kaufman” on Aug. 18 in San Diego, Calif.
