Since St-Pierre has been out of action, the UFC welterweight division has evolved and an interim champion was crowned in “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit, who defeated Nick Diaz at UFC 143 in February to win the belt.
With St-Pierre cleared to return to action, he will make his first octagon appearance since UFC 129 in April 2011 at UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit, which goes down Nov. 17 from the Bell Center in St-Pierre’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
While both men currently hold title belts, only one can walk away from UFC 154 as champion. The French-Canadian will battle Condit in a welterweight championship unification match with the winner being name undisputed welterweight champion of the world.
Familiar names such as Marin Kampmann, Johnny Hendricks, Mark Hominick and Patrick Cote are featured on the undercard of the organization’s fifth trip to Montreal.
Although the event is still a ways away, the UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit event poster has surfaced. Check it out below.
