Inability To Secure Venue Caused UFC on FX 5 Date And Location Shift

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA – With the recent announcement that UFC on FX 5 had been moved from Sept. 7 in Inidanapolis to an undetermined location on Oct. 5, many fans were wondering why the event date was shifted.

Following the UFC 149 pre-fight conference at Flames Central in Calgary, UFC president Dana White addressed the situation with FightCove.com

“We just had to change the date, we had to move the date.” White said. “Then the venue wasn’t available for the date we needed. We moved it to October and the venue wasn’t available again.”

Unfortunately for fans in Indy, it doesn’t look like the rescheduled date will work out for their city either.

“I wanted to go to Indy,” explained the UFC president. “But the venue wasn’t available.“

Fans in “The Circle City” have not seen live UFC action since UFC 119 took place at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Sept. 2010.

White said a location and host city for UFC on FX 5 is unknown at this time, but FightCove.com will keep you updated as soon as more details become available.
