The UFC is set to take the octagon back to Australia on Dec. 14 with an event headlined by a middleweight contest between Hector Lombard and Rousimar Palhares.

The bout is scheduled for five rounds and will take place Dec. 15 in an Australian city and venue that is unknown at this time. The card also features the finals for “The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. U.K.” reality show series.

UFC President Dana White announced the Lombard vs. Palhares match up on his official Twitter account Friday evening.

Lombard (31-3-1, 1 NC) made his UFC debut at UFC 149 last July and was unsuccessful, dropping a close split decision to Tim Boetsch. Prior to the loss the 34-year-old had gone unbeaten in 25-straight fights. “Lightning” will aim to pick up the first victory of his UFC career when he travels to Australia this December.

Palhares (14-4) had a thee-fight winning streak snapped by Alan Belcher at UFC on FOX 4 in May when he was knocked out in the first round. The Brazilian has earned submission victories in 10 out of his 14 wins including five submission wins in the UFC. Palhares fights in Australia for the first time at UFC on FX 6 and looks to rebound from his last loss with a strong performance.

Due to the time difference, the card takes place in Australia on Saturday morning and airs live in North America on Friday night.
