Although the Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) nor Strikeforce held events over the past week, there has been no shortage of news to keep mixed martial arts fans talking after the fallout of the cancellation of UFC 151, which was scheduled to take place Sept. 1 in Las Vegas.

• All the bouts from the canceled UFC 151 fight card have been rescheduled for upcoming events.
• Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for the UFC featherweight championship headlines UFC 153 on Oct. 13 after Erik Koch withdrew from the event due to a knee injury.
• Jose Aldo was involved in a traffic accident involving a motor cycle but was uninjured in the incident.
• Daniel Cormier vs. Frank Mir will serve as the main event of a Nov. 3 Strikeforce card in Oklahoma City.
• The cast for the sixteenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show, which begins Sept. 14 on FX Networks was unveiled.
