The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale Staff Predictions

Saturday, December 3rd at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Spike TV
The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Main Card (Spike TV)
Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller (Middleweight Bout)
Mike Bohn:
This is a toss up. Bisping has the better standup, Miller has the better submissions. The Brit has very solid takedown defense, and Miller’s only hope is on the ground. Bisping will be able to keep the fight on the feet and eventfully ware the American down for a late TKO.Bisping does have a tendancy to get rocked by his opponents in what seems like every fight, so Mayhem’s has a chance there, but not a big enough one for me to pick him tomorrow night. Michael Bisping via TKO – R4

Jon Gerow: I would like to see “Mayhem” win this fight, but judging by the list of opponents he has beaten and lost to, it leads me to believe that his chances of victory are slim. Technically, Bisping is better on the feet, if he can keep it there, I see him in vintage Bisping unanimous decision fashion. Michael Bisping via Unanimous Decision

Erik Jackson: I’m looking forward to this matchup as it is a good one stylistically, both of these men are well rounded fighters, look for mayhem to mix it up with his takedowns and standup in order to get Bisping off his game. While Mayhem has the tools to finish the fight on the ground, I think this one will come down to a very close split decision. Jason Miller via Split Decision

Best Of The Best: Fight Cove Awards for November 2011

November 2011 may go down as the most history months in UFC history. Three events -UFC 138, UFC on FOX, UFC 139- all signified monumental moments in there own right. There were limb-snapping submissions, brutal knockouts, the two best fights of the year and the emergence of a new heavyweight champion.

The past month has been unforgettable, but as MMA fans, we are always looking forward to the next event, we rarely take time to appreciate the great moments that have passed us by. Before shutting the door on November for good, take a moment to look back and give credit to the best of the month that was.

Fighter Of The Week: Jason Mayhem Miller

Each week, Fight Cove gives a rundown of one fighter that competes under the ZUFFA -UFC or Strikeforce- umbrella. Said fighter can be on an eight fight win streak, 11-fight losing steak or fought his last three to a draw, it doesn’t matter, there’s no criteria, no restrictions.

There’s no prize, belt or reward for being the Fight Cove “Fighter of the Week”, no one is adding the distinction to his or her resume, or printing this out to hang on the wall. However, it does provide the opportunity to pay respect to the some of the best MMA fighters in the world by taking a closer look at their accomplishments.

This week’s spotlight will focus on none other than coach of “The Ultimate Fighter” season 14, Jason “Mayhem” Miller.
