The UFC on FOX 4: Shogun vs. Vera pre-fight media conference call went down Monday afternoon.

The call was hosted by UFC president Dana White and also featured the fighters competing in the top two headlining bouts (Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Brandon Vera, Lyoto Machida and Ryan Bader). All five mem to answer questions from members of the media.

While the media call was relatively uneventful in comparison to others, the biggest news item to come out of the 30-minute Q&A session was White announcing the winner of the main event between “Shogun” Rua and Vera will be named as the number one contender in the UFC light heavyweight division.
